FAQ
When is the ceremony?
Monday, September 21, 2026 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Please arrive by 2:00 PM — the ceremony begins promptly at 2:15.
Where is it?
San Francisco City Hall, Mayor's Balcony (2nd floor). Enter through the main entrance on Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place — we'll have someone there to guide you upstairs. The building is fully ADA accessible with elevator access to all floors.
What should I wear?
Cocktail attire. Think dressy but comfortable. Keep in mind that September is typically the warmest month of the year in San Francisco (expect temps to be mid 70s).
Where do I park?
Skip the rental car — Uber, Lyft, and Waymo are the way to go in SF. BART and Muni work great too. If you do drive, Civic Center Garage (355 McAllister St) is directly under City Hall.
Where should I stay?
We recommend staying around Union Square at the Hilton or Marriott, or the Holiday Inn Express on Van Ness. However, DO NOT WALK from Union Square to City Hall — SF is overwhelmingly safe but the Tenderloin is a bit unsightly :)
What happens after the ceremony?
We'll take photos after the ceremony from around 2:30 – 3:00 PM. More information to come soon.
Is there anything else going on that weekend?
Stay tuned — we're planning a few things for the weekend of September 19–21, including a casual get-together the Sunday before. Full itinerary coming soon! That said, if you can only make it for the ceremony on Monday, that's more than enough. We're just happy you're there.
